LC9 Showcase Live in SG - Press Conference ♥

From KAvenyou.com: LC9 also known as League of Competition #9, from Nega Network came to Singapore on the 30th of November 2013 for their first overseas showcase, LC9 Showcase Live in Singapore.

This being the first time going overseas for a showcase for the group, E-den expressed that they felt really honored to be in Singapore as overseas performances are a rarity for them.

He also complimented Singapore, calling her a very ‘natural’ country with a lot of trees and fresh air.

After their introduction to the media, LC9 leader, Rasa went on to explain what ‘LC9’ stood for.

From KAvenyou.com: “LC9 means League of Competition #9 because the music industry now has a lot of idols in the market and we have to survive the competition. Coincidentally, all six of us were chosen very carefully from a group of competitive trainees. There were many others who wanted to be in this group too but we are the survivors. Therefore, our group name.” – Rasa

 Aigooo, maknae AO pouts!

From KAvenyou.com: When asked about their inspirations, J-Hyo spoke up without hesitation and told everyone that he looks up to Bruno Mars because he’s a singer/songwriter and he got to learn a lot about foreign pop music through his time covering Bruno Mar’s songs.

E-den told us how he was always into rap from a tender age and since he hails from Canada, his inspiration is Drake. King then went on saying that his inspiration is British singer, Jason Derulo and Aussie singer, Guy Sebastian.

Jun who decided to lighten the mood of the press conference told us that SHINee are his inspiration because they’re good looking and can sing live very well.

From KAvenyou.com:  As for Rasa, he said that when he first started out, he was very motivated by Brian McKnight but right now, in terms of performance, Chris Brown became his motivation.

AO cited domestic groups, Monday Kiz and SG Wannabe as his inspiration as they are very good ballad singers. He said that by listening to their songs, it taught him how to convey emotions better in his songs.

From KAvenyou.com:  Since promotion period meant meeting other rookie groups, King expressed how he felt about being different from everyone else.

“Bangtan Boys and History are the groups that we happen to promote together. We have done many shows together with them and I think we’re different because of the genre of our songs. They’re more Hip-hop whereas we’re more electronica.” – King

Being in the same company as Brown Eyed Girls and Lunafly, LC9 also revealed that they might be doing a collaboration with either one of them for the Christmas season but everything is still in the works.
