G-Dragon One of a Kind World Tour - Singapore ; Press Conference! ♥
From KAvenyou: Releasing his second solo album “One Of A Kind” last year, Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon begun his solo concert world tour in March 2013. It has been 4 years since his last solo concert in Seoul and for the first time, he is stepping out of Korea for his solo concert world tour. With that, the talented singer/songwriter/producer/fashionista was finally here in Singapore for the final stop of the long awaited “One of a Kind World Tour” on the 29th & 30th of June 2013! Despite his busy schedule, G-Dragon was all styled up and polite as he greeted the media during the press conference held on 29th June.   From KAvenyou: Below is a brief transcript of the saucy questions asked at press conference: Q: During the preparations for the world tour, was there a time when you missed the Big Bang members when they were not your special guests at the concert? A: It’s always good to have the other members around but when I’m back in Korea I see them in the studio. It’s fun with them and I really like working with them. When times are hard, and it can get a little lonely, so it’s good to have them around. Also, the members have been a great support to me. They would come down to my tour to support me when they are available, and I’m really thankful to them. Q: What kind of expectations does G-Dragon have for the fans in Singapore? A: I’m very glad and happy to be in Singapore. I came here quite a number of times, but it’s my first time coming here for my solo concert. I feel thankful to all the fans who will be coming down. There’s not much expectation for them, and I just hope they will have fun! Q: There were four different themes in your concert. Which is the most challenging segment for you in the concert? A: All the staffs has been there for me since the planning stage, and there is no particular theme I have a challenge with. But particularly towards the middle, there’s a scene where I am under the rain, I really find myself to be part of the music and I can really focus on my performance. Q: One of the theme of the concert is musical. What was the idea behind it? A: The particular scene is the scene I just mentioned before, as a performer I think that it is important that it is not only the music that I can hear but it is also about how it can be visually portrayed. So I tried to express the nightmare I am in and the lady I am longing for in the performance. Q: 2NE1 will be your special guest for the Singapore concert, what kind of chemistry are you expecting from them during the concert? A: For 2NE1, I like them like all the other YG artists, and I trust them as performers too. For the last stop of the world tour in Singapore, I would like to make it enjoyable and make an impact on the last tour stop. I trust in them and it is great to be working with them. Q: How is it like to work with big names such as Stacy Walker and Travis Paige? A: I think it has been a great help, I have learned a lot as I was preparing for this tour. Thanks to all the help that I have received from the artists, I have learned a lot as an artist myself. It’s not only about the music but also the way I’m presenting it to my fans. It is also all about the stage and what kind of performance I bring as an artist. I’m really thankful for all the things I have learned from them.           From KAvenyou: Q: The fans are anticipating for your new album, since the last time you mentioned that it was about 70%-80% completed. When is your new album coming out? A: I’m working really hard on it, I’m not exactly sure when it will be out. For the new album, I really want to make it perfect for all my fans and I want to be satisfied with the kind of work that I produce. Probably in August, but I’m not very sure with that. But please give me all the support and be patient with me for a little bit. Thank you. Q: Have you ever thought of leaving Big Bang and going solo? When is Big Bang coming back to Singapore again? A: Now currently I’m doing solo promotions, so I’m concentrating on my solo tour. But when I’m back with Big Bang, definitely I’ll concentrate on being a Big Bang member. I personally think that all the love and support that I’ve gained from all over the world is owed to all the fans who has known me through Big Bang so I think Big Bang has been loved by all fans and I’m very thankful to them. Hopefully when I’m back here, I can join the other members and come see all of you as a whole. Q: Any particular artist that you want to work with for your One of a Kind concert? A: I’m not so sure, because for me to work with another artist, we got to have the same goal and same idea we are looking for in the particular performance. It’s not about the big names that the artist hold. It is really about the kind of things we are looking for in common in terms of performance. I’m still looking for them, but I don’t think I’m in the position of bringing them in. It’s also based on their own will as well. Q: G-Dragon is one of the fashion icon in Korea, and he would always try on different new looks. Is there anything he wouldn’t do in the name of fashion? A: Nude. I would never go nude. Q: Singapore is going to be your last stop for the world tour, are you going to be doing anything after to celebrate? A: Just like other countries I have visited, I love all the countries just like how I love Singapore. Probably as the last destination, I hope I will make it special enough for all of you. And that is the end of our meeting with the chic GD! He is really really cool and chic during the press conference, but he did think hard and focused during the interview! He even joked when one of the media ask which artist does he want to collaborate with the most, GD replied her that will she bring the artist to him if he answer her question LOL All of us kind of giggled/laughed and he did smile as well XD Though he didn't have much expressions and was wearing a shades, but he did smile for a few moments and I swear all the media was busy snapping that moment!! GD also thank us and said I love you at the end before he left Awwwww ^^
