FIR - 光合之旅 Light Up the Way ; 26th Jan 2013 ♥

XD Hop over to FB page for more photos that are taken by my partner ; Xuanlin! F.I.R, the Taiwanese mandopop band are back after three year long hiatus! The band is back with their concert entitled 'Light Up The Way'. In addition, Singapore is the first stop for FIR's new concert tour! The press conference was held @ Grand Park Orchard Hotel, and unlike any other press conference, they also invite few of the fans to join in! Here's a few questions asked by emcee! Q: What's the main highlight for the concert? Band leader Ian replied that their highlight for the concert would be the main vocalist Faye! This is because Faye injured herself recently while working out in preparation for the concert. The other 2 members suggested to postpone the concert till Faye is well but Faye insisted on carry on with the plan as per normal, because she know that the fans had waited long enough for the concert and she doesn't want to disappoint them. Thus, Ian said that the main highlight would be Faye because she's very dedicated to her work! Q: Why did you choose Singapore as the first stop for your concert tour? Band leader Ian expressed that the response and feedback previously were very good, either from the media or from the fans. Then he revealed that he have his own selfish reasons, and that is the food! Ian then continued to list the food: 'bat kut teh' and 'chicken rice'! But of course, that's not the main reason for choosing Singapore as their first stop, Ian realised that there are a lot of talented musicians in Singapore, good audience and he made a lot of music friends in here. Faye then cut in to say that there are no other countries that allow her to wear such clothing, since most of the countries are still in the 'winter-spring' season, only Singapore allows her to wear dress that doesn't have to worry about the coldness! Q: What kind of preparation have you done for the concert? Guitarist Real said that they will be singing a lot of 'old' songs from their previous albums, and as the music director for the concert, he have to remake and improve the songs, adding details into it. Thus, giving the audience a fresh and new feel! Not only the fact that Singapore is their first stop for the concert world tour, the band will be making a comeback with a brand new album, fans and audience will be the very first to listen to the new song live!           The organisers also prepared 4 pots of plants for them in related to their theme of the concert. Each pot of plant also represents a good thing, example 'fortune', 'love', 'wealth'!           'An Adventure with A Seed of Light' FIR - Light Up The Way concert was held @ Max Pavilion - Expo Faye also mentioned that each of the member symbolizes 'Sun', 'Air' and 'Water' , thus the concert conveys the stories and memories the band have accumulated thus far, with the hope of delivering 'a seed of light' into the hearts of the audience.                Fan's lightsticks that somehow create a 'green' ocean ; which also relates to the theme of the concert!    Each member had their solo performance as well Faye sang 'Rolling in the Deep' by Adele Ian sang 'Wedding Wishes' aka 'Hun Li De Zhu Fu' and Real sang 'Forgive Me' aka 'Yuan Liang Wo' by Jam Hsiao! FIR had their encore songs as well, which are '3 Wishes' (San Ge Xin Yuan) 'Your Smile' (Ni De Wei Xiao) and 'Our Love' (Wo Men De Ai) !         I feel touched when I was hearing the last song 'Our Love' aka 'Wo Men De Ai', because normally concert last song will be a happy and hype song that will made everyone hype up and rock together till the curtain close, but FIR chose a slow song and asked everyone to sing together. And that's when all my feels (LOL) slowly crept in. It's just so amazing, for the whole scene. This is my first to attend a Cpop concert and I really feel great! Not to mention, all of the songs are sang and played live! I had a lot of goosebumps moments when I was standing by the side watching them. Thanks to one of the photographer from YOLOSG.COM because my zoom lens is not good enough to capture half-shot of the artistes and this kind photographer actually allow me to use her lens and doesn't mind exchanging with me during the concert!!! Really appreciate it and really thanks to her, that i got such good photos @ the end of the concert! ^^ Thanks to AMC group for the invite for both the press conference and concert! ^^  
"Although we heard a lot from the fans that they are thankful to us, for giving them the strength and motivation. In fact, the fans are our reasons and motivation why we are going on in producing and making music still.
It's really not easy for a band to sustain for so many years, there's a lot of bands who went separate ways after 3-5 years, but for us, our relationships actually are getting better thus we wish to emit such positive energy through our concert. Our purpose and motive for forming a band is because we want to change the world, to change for the better"
